Working with Paul McKenna and his crew was an exceptional experience. He renovated my building in Russian Hill down to the original framing and up and this has become my primary resident. This was my first development project and I was worried about all the nightmare stories you hear about cost over runs and delays. The truth is that I could not have been happier with the results. Paul delivered my project on time and on budget. I love my house and recommend Paul and his team for any project. You will get a great result and make a great friend. That says a lot.

Paul McKenna and James Gallagher of Calcade Construction are some of the best contractors in San Francisco. I am a realtor in the city and I work with a lot of developers and I know a lot of contractors but these guys are by far the most professional, honest, talented and timely of anyone I have ever worked with. They know how to navigate through the city planning department and no job is too big or too small for them. I have referred them to several of my clients and all have been very happy with the quality of their work. I am careful who I refer my clients to but I never hesitate to refer Paul and James. They can do anything from foundation work, to kitchen remodels or complete home renovations. There are so many choices out there but do yourself a favor and hire Calcade Construction when you need a contractor. You will be very satisfied.

Jimmy had no problem with details, other contractors we interviewed discounted as unbuildable. Even his subs were easy to work with -- the sheet rocker was happy getting into some particularly tricky angular curved work, and it came out looking really sharp. I was expecting I'd have to do a lot of hands-on site management with such an unorthodox design, but the job went surprisingly smoothly.

Jim Gallagher and Company is kind of superheroes at our house - always there to rescue the day. A few issues arose during construction which Jim identified and without bothering us took control of the situation and beautifully built a structure that we are very pleased with. Moreover, despite this and other issues, he quoted the project to complete on June 1, and on June 1 at 5 pm, he was vacuuming up the remnants of the construction dust. It has been a pleasure to recommend him to our friends, but only our good friends, since we want to make sure he is always available when we need him!
